Jacking & Weighing
Based on our inventory of specialised field weighing equipment including NATA certified Grade A Class Loadcells, fixed displacement hydraulic power packs and associated hydraulic jacks, we are consistently able to provide better than 0.5% of full scale deflection results together with a calculated Centre of Gravity if required. With our inventory of skid shoes and in conjunction with our hydraulic and skid beam inventory we have relocated structures and equipment by skidding in a large variety of settings ranging from a nominal 500 Tonne drilling sub-base on an offshore platform to a 150 Tonne press in a factory. Offshore jacking or skidding is typically carried out using one of our intrinsically safe electro hydraulic power packs.
We have also skidded Jackets and Decks onto barges using strand jacking systems - the largest being approximately 12,000 tonnes in Malaysia.
We have completed the Loadout for various Oil & Gas structures over the past 20 years both by platform trailer and skidding. Our scope has typically included engineering, ballast calculations, transportation analysis and procedures etc, provision of required equipment, transportation, barge mooring, ballasting etc, provision of temporary steelwork, bridging and the like and supervision of sea-fastening installation ready for sailaway.
Our heaviest single module wheeled Loadout was approximately 2,400 Tonnes in the Port of Geraldton.
As part of the Loadout operation we carry out the moment trim and tidal ballasting of transportation barges based on in-house ballast calculations utilising an above deck spread of third party supplied diesel powered pumps with a nominal unit capacity of 300 TPH. The ballast spread typically incorporates a contingency of 200% of the tidal ballast requirement.
Proof Load Testing
We are also able to Proof Load Test installed lifting padeyes, monorails and the like in the range of 2.5 to 200 Tonne with a range of tension and compression NATA certified Loadcells and associated hydraulic equipment. This typically involves the design and fabrication of temporary steelwork which we are able to provide.
