The Goodwyn project is the largest Loadout Marginal field has completed in Australia, (two modules, one 1,100 and one 2,400 Tonne). Two transport contractors were contracted. Marginal Field completed and engineering, provision of ballasting system, weighing system, mooring system and supervision of the work.

The trading name MARGINAL FIELD is unusual for an entity whose business is field engineering. The name was originally the vehicle to market this patented self-installing monopod to service the small / marginal oil reserves in the shallow water Barrow / Varanus Islands area, NW Australia. In its original form it supported a slim hole drilling package.
The name stuck.
MARGINAL FIELD is carrying out R&D on an experimental, patented Wing In Ground Effect (WIG) remote operation unmanned drone craft specialized to provide regional maritime security and search & rescue at sea.
It is amphibious and can loiter on the sea afloat at low power settings for long periods, sprint to points of interest and provide surveillance at remote littoral locations.
